Elsinore/retro inspired Honda XR650R project

After many years of building regular Supermotards out of XR650R ,I tried something else this time.
A bike with the looks based on the iconical Honda Elsinore CR's from the '70 and early '80.

I did rebuild the bike/engine completly:
Engine :new bearings ,rod,gearbox,distribution,oil pump,piston,valves + porting etc etc
           custom(in house build) exhaust and a Keihin FCR bored to 43mm,K&N
Frame: New Beringer system,race adjusted forks (lowered),rebuild shock (lowered),new Excels etc etc..

All painted or coated in the famous Elsinore red with some retro/scrambler touches here and there...

It's probl. not everyonce taste but I enjoyed building it...

Honda did renew the patent on the name "Elsinore" a while ago, so it's possible that we see a new off-road bike with that name in the (near?) future.

Unfortunately we,ve seen Honda renew all kinds of patents lately, I had multiple dreams about the new 2stroke engine with low mount fuel injection we've seen last summer but i doubt we'll see it on a bike anytime soon.
Still a new Elsinore would be amazing until then congrats for your fine job and for keeping up the name !

I think the new Elsinore (if he ever comes...) wil be a 4 stroke... but many are dreaming of a direct injected/low emisison 2 stroke Honda dirt bike.

Hopefully the iconical Elsinore look will survive...some kind...2 or 4 sroke.
