... really incredible work!!! have you ever think to spend your holiday in italy (during a xr meeting)??? ;) ;) ;) ;)
My wife ans kids would like to spend holidays in Italia once but for the moment we are on the Belgian coast, like other years. BTW:spend all my money on the 680. LOL :D :D ;)

o sbaglio?

good job
I cut the OEM fender just underneath the seat (like the topic here on XR-italia :650R technical section) and overlay it with the modified CRF fender. ;)
On the twin pipe ,I made my own airbox ,using a XR400/600 Twin Air filter

Which exhaust system do you fits?
The terminal seems very very long!!!
So for a better response at low rpm?
It's a Patevo exhaust line, based on the Monnier line (same headers) but with a completly different can. It's not too loud and power à gogo from low to high rpm, it's claimed to make 3hp more than the Monnier line.

Patevo is a member of this forum. ;)
Some pics of my 680 after a 200 km ride out with a our local Supermotard forum, 30% off-road/70% small back roads. Some off-road section where very slippery after days of rain ,specially with (slightly) cut slicks and all the torque of the 680.Even with 15x 38 gearing and the rear wheel way back... :D

185 a 190 realistic (chrono) but monster acceleration even with that gearing.Big bore is good for torque and acceleration but top speed suffers a little. To win top speed and temper the low end hit a bit , I have to degree the stage 2 cam a little.

Mhh...I rode with 14 x 38 on the Mettet Road race circuit.... :D ;) Sometimes I do things differrent. :P
I think it flip over till 5th gear with 14x48 enduro gearing. ;D
You can alter the Cam timing so that the low/mid hit is softer and that you have more top end and speed. But you have to know what/how to do... :o (valves/piston clearance etc..)

Hallo Manu.
Do you know how many HP have your beatiful bike ?
Bye
The last time on the dyno - a few years back- I had around 61Hp on the wheel .That was with a Monnier exhaust line ,Mikuni TM 40,HRC piston, stock cam,1mm oversize intake valves ,airbox mod and without backfire screen. I don't know how accurate the dyno was but a stock 650r with a full Akra /jetting/Airbox mod + Twin air had 56 hp that day.
I now have extra: stage 2 cam, lighter flywheel ,Falicon, rod, 680cc,racing CDI, FCR43mm and the Patevo exhaust.Next step is a larger volume airbox and some jetting +dyno runs to get the jetting perfect with that. This should give me 3 to 4hp more ,they told me.
This is an even older dyno : 56.3hp.
Mods than were: - completly stock motor
- Mikuni TM40
- CRD headers + Leo Vince X3 can
- airbox mod + No Toil filter + home made screen (no backfire screen)

Yeah..the offroad zones are great there.... :megalol:
beautiful video !!!! motard is wonderful ;D ;)
I saw more pics about your bike on supermotojunkie.... ;D ;D ;D Very interesting the crf steering dumper.....seems quite easy to fits on xr frame..which benefits did you find on motard road race?
But the most intersting thing is your lighter wiseko piston quite matching the hrc piston weigh! :-*
Yes, we dropped the weight of the 102.4mm Wiseco 52g and made the Wiseco piston pen lighter than the HRC one,so there was in total just a few grams difference between the 2. 8) Should be good to keep the crank alive and reliable @ + 9000 rpm. :P
In theory having mounted the falicon rod with the xr only bearing kit, you should have solved problems concerning crank reliability...even running the engine higher than 9000 rpm...Crank failure are usually due to the oem bearing rod...it was bad designed: the steel rollers inside are too big, then accumulating a lot of heat, lead to break the bearing cage (too tiny) ...
i'm interesting about how the engine responds with a lighter 102,4 piston!!! ;D ;D ;D i would compare with my stock 102,4.....just to feel the differences :P :P...
The gas response is very fast and crisp, just like with the HRC piston. But I have a lighter flywheel and special CDI also. ;)
What type of CDi you have mounted?
Bye
